About

The Story

The name concept of R. Badwah & Murray started in the year 2008 when I decided to pick up the camera after a 4-year hiatus. Within the break, my close cousin died tragically and forever affected how I saw the world. During this dark period, I found the strength and courage to return to my love of documenting events for the sake of history keeping. My weapon of choice was always a video camera. In making a comeback to filming, I wanted to incorporate my fallen cousin, Robert Badwah, into my official company name to pay homage to his life and my rebirth. R. Badwah & Murray films was born and the slogan "Preserving the Present for the Future" always means to take pride in filming the present because it will soon become part of the past. With the proper preservation of the past, we can always present these events to future generations.

Since December of 2008, I've been working on various projects such as short films, brand videos for companies, music videos, and travel documentaries. During this period, I've also acquired the skill of post-production editing and shared my talents at ESPN in Washington D.C. I've directed and produced multiple camera setups for live comedy and music performances. I also have experience in voice-over narrative coaching for documentaries and commercials using audio recording equipment. When we're in the creative process with the client, we exercise our expert opinions, and we thrive off feedback to pinpoint what the client desires in the end.
